The Community Foundation for Greater Rome connects generosity with impact, providing grants and funds that serve and uplift our community. Rather than operating a single nonprofit, we empower many by funding local charities and community initiatives. Through endowments and donor-advised funds, we ensure long-term sustainability, allowing gifts to grow and serve future generations. We turn generosity into action, fueling bold ideas and lasting impact.

Our History

Founded in April 2015, the Community Foundation was born from a vision of local leaders who saw the need for a sustainable philanthropic resource. Today, we continue to build a stronger, healthier community—while inspiring the next generation of generous givers.

Community Foundation Staff

Jennifer Scott, Interim Executive Director

Jennifer is a former board member of the Community Foundation for Greater Rome and spent several years in the financial services industry before shifting her focus to nonprofit community service.

With over 20 years of nonprofit leadership and volunteer experience in Floyd County, she has been actively involved with numerous organizations, dedicated to strengthening the community and improving the lives of her neighbors.

Jennifer and her husband, Ryland, have proudly called Rome home since 2003.

Alice Clements, Administrator

Alice joined the staff of the Community Foundation for Greater Rome in 2018 as Administrator, where she oversees the day-to-day operations of the organization. Her responsibilities include managing grant disbursements, maintaining the donor portal, and overseeing the Foundation's database.

Alice and her husband, Frank, have been residents of Rome for 36 years, where they are active members of the community.
