Foundation raises $1 million, looking for first project to fund

The Community Foundation for Greater Rome is looking for its first major project to fund. Executive Director Ashley Ellington said that a year of behind-the-scenes fundraising has generated almost a $1 million and it’s time to start identifying a community need to support.

Ellington and foundation board members met Monday with Floyd Superior Court Judge Jack Niedrach and other community leaders to get some suggestions from them.
