Organizational Culture and Vision
In addition to their community shows, Rome Shakespeare Festival holds master classes, workshops and performances that serve artists, students and the general public. In addition, RSF tours educational programming to elementary, middle and high schools, along with colleges and theaters across Georgia and surrounding states.
Their vision for long-term success is to have their artistic excellence be recognized nationally and to have their education programs be a national organization.
They want more people to know that they are more than just the organization that has the only Shakespeare Festival in Georgia. They also have high-quality educational programming that fulfills our mission of serving the public good, a program that benefits students, adults and incarcerated populations.
Programs
Free Rome Shakespeare Festival on the Town Green: Annual two-week long festival that features main stage productions and even children’s shows by the RSF Young Actor’s Company.
Arts Education: Rome Shakespeare Festival’s school performances carry with them teaching artists who conduct curriculum-based, hands-on workshops on school sites.
Shakespeare Inside and Out: For incarcerated inmates, this program brings the arts to males and females in the prison system.
