Organizational Culture and Vision
NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.
NAMI’s goal for the next year is to help adults with mental illness in our Rome community become more independent. Their vision for long-term success is to support the creation and maintenance of Elevation House, which is a clubhouse for adults living with mental illness.
“It takes someone with a passion to help people with a mental illness. People with mental have potential, and can live a productive life with adequate supports.”- NAMI Leadership Staff
Programs

Research shows that the program significantly improves the coping and problem-solving abilities of the people closest to an individual living with a mental health condition.
Peer to Peer: NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a free, 10-session educational program for adults with mental illness who are looking to better understand their condition and journey toward recovery.Taught by a trained team of people who’ve been there, the program includes presentations, discussion and interactive exercises.
