Organizational Culture and Vision
The South Rome Redevelopment Corporation is dedicated to ensuring that South Rome is a clean, safe, vibrant and beautiful community as well as a pleasant place to live, work, worship, and learn in South Rome.
Over the next fifteen years, SRRC would like to decrease the unemployment rate to match the state average, raise the median household income to match the City median, raise Anna K. Davie Elementary School third grade reading readiness by 50%, decrease the violent crime rate, and bring $20 million worth of investment to the neighborhood.
Programs
South Rome Early Learning Center: The SRELC provides quality education for two classes of 3-year-olds from primarily low-income homes in South Rome. The core belief of the program is that each child is an individual, and they are committed to treating the children with care and concern. They provide stimulating activities and enriching experiences that encourage growth and development socially, emotionally and academically.
Affordable Home-Ownership and Rentals: The goal of this program is to build and make available brand new homes to first-time home owners who make under 80% Area Median Income. They also provide rental spaces in locations such as McCall Place, Etowah Bend, and Burrell Square.
