NBYC’s vision for long-term success is to strengthen their students with the desire and support to “pay it forward”. As they embrace the sacrifices that others have made for them, they will gain their own desire to give back to their community.
Their most pressing needs are to obtain the finances needed to equip each of their students with proper computers, laptops, and e-readers.
“As we train these students we are equipping them in every area of their lives. We are not a play place we are a fun place to learn.”
After School Mentoring: North Broad Youth Center provides children with opportunities and activities that build positive relationships as well as strengthening self-esteem. Students will be developing academic skillsets through the mentoring program as well as community involvement habits through diverse hands-on trainings and field trips.
