CRBI is a 501c3 grassroots environmental organization based in Rome, Georgia with the mission of informing and empowering citizens so that they may become involved in the process of creating a clean, healthy and economically viable Coosa River Basin.

CRBI’s goals over the next year is to grow their recognition and profile in the community and in surrounding counties with a focus on educating individuals on the breadth of work their organization undertakes.

CRBI’s most pressing needs are to get a new incubator and bacterial monitoring supplies so that they can help our region obtain swimmable, fishable, and drinkable water.

Beyond paddle trips and education, CRBI reviews dozens of pollution permits each year and is active in promoting healthy water laws at our state’s Capitol.
