Grant Recipient: Restoration Rome

Uniting our communities to restore broken families and bring our children home.

Restoration Rome received the first grant distributed by the Foundation.  The $50,000 gift demonstrated local commitment to addressing the need for foster family support and resulted in additional grants which have leveraged the original gift many times.

Restoration Rome has been named 1 of only 5 State of Hope sites in Georgia.  As a result, it received a Division of Family and Children Services grant and technical assistance for their innovation in child welfare.

Since the time of the grant, the number of Floyd County children in the foster care system has decreased by more than 30%.  Restoration Rome has made a vital contribution to this reduction.

Additionally, Restoration Rome is becoming recognized nationally as a model for the support of children and families touched by the foster system.
